They weren't playing ladders, were they? Weren't competing in PvP? Weren't power-leveling each other and trying out new builds? These are things that were typically done on Bnet. And if grinding for long periods gets a player there, so be it.Īlso.before I put MY foot in my mouth? You're afraid of me putting my foot in my mouth, and you're the one saying that an "overwhelming majority" of D2 players never used Bnet? Gonna need some proof on that. Still am.īased on many of your comments, Maka, with all due respect.you're the one who loathes the idea of XP grinding, because you play solely for the loot and hate the idea of "D3 being like God of War." I respect that mindset, don't get be wrong.however, while I did justify and defend D3 not having a stat allocation system previously, it does undoubtedly add depth to the game. So, much like D3, it took a looooooooong time, lots of grinding. I never got into the trading game, and never once had an "SOJ." Not a single one. What I meant by my comment, Maka, is that when people can power/rush to almost MAX level in 2 hours, that whole issue people claim they loved about D2 being the "permanence" of skill trees and stat point allocation is null and void, because all you need is a couple hours and a high level friend to help you get right back to where you were before.Īs for doing that solo? I had a Barb that was at least level 83 way back in the day, and I never played with more than two friends at a time (and that was pretty rare, I've always been more a solo player). Oh really? Can you tell me how you would do that playing solo?Īnd before you put your foot in your mouth, let me just add this: the overwhelming majority of D2 players never used bnet. ![]()
